I just had a very chipper Danish representative from *garblegarble* Which I think was DR2 or something, come and inform me that I require a license to run a computer. I would have thought this was a scam or highway robbery, but he explained that any device able to broadcast radio or television necessitates a license. 

He was so gosh darn cheerful and nice, that I just nodded and said 'that sounds fabulous' or something equally witty, and he told me very nicely that because I was obviously new here, that he would make our license from today instead of from when we moved in. Ho ho ho!

When I closed the door, it hit me. License. Equals money. And I never asked how much.

Wikipedia is telling me that Danish TV broadcasting licenses cost 2150 dkk. Or approximately $450 CAD. 

*weeps uncontrollably*
