The set up for Antelope Canyon is anything but encouraging. It's confusing to find out how / when you can get tickets (we went with 'Ken's Tours' because, believe it or not they had the best website) and the entry areas themselves are run down shacks with a giant parking lot. While my inner designer is thinking about how the user experience could be vastly improved, the canyons themselves are breathtaking.
The guides have a real appreciation for the canyons and want people to enjoy them as much as they do... while still herding you through at a breakneck pace. Still, you manage to find small moments of solitude next to the smooth Navajo Sandstone walls with the light playing from above.
