DOKMAI Rwanda - a private limited company located in Kigali - was founded in December 2014 by Bernadette Umunyana, who built a successful fair-trade hand-woven silk business in South East Asia and decided to start a new venture aimed at exposing the international community to the beauty of Rwanda’s exquisite handicraft products. DOKMAI is pushing forward the “Made in Rwanda “ aesthetic by working with local artisans using local raw materials.
DOKMAI's products are handmade with passion in Rwanda by skilled leather craftspeople, both women and men. Products can be custom designed and are built to last.
